Working at Heights
The practical assessments will be carried out at the candidates own workplace where practical, using their own and our supplied equipment to ensure relevance.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone whose role requires working off the ground
At the conclusion of the course candidates will be able to:
Recognise the requirements of regulations, approved codes of practice and guidance notes relative to height work.
Identify hazards, carry out risk assessment, implement controls for working at height.
Identify various means of access and ensure correct PPE is used.
Gain knowledge and understanding of fall arrester equipment.
Gain a basic understanding of lifting appliances, roof safety, access platforms and ladders.
Carry out a safety check of all equipment related to working at height.
All Other Courses
Under current UK regulations, any person required to carry out any work on the Highway, footways or their curtilage must be trained and assessed as competent and hold a Vocational Qualification in the work they will undertake.
The minimum level of qualification is the SQA New Roads & Street Works certificate, to either supervisor or operative level. Obtaining it will involve an element of formal training followed by practical exercises and on-site assessment.
