Who Should Attend?
Anyone expected to work in a High Risk Confined Space. These are spaces with known hostile environments or other identified hazards. Entry will be with Self-Contained breathing apparatus and will involve non-standard entry, complex tasks, or rescue procedures. Work may involve teams moving away from the entry point and without safety lines.

Prerequisite
Candidates must be 18 years old and above to attend this course and be able to read and write to a reasonable standard.
Please be aware that the safe working load (SWL) of equipment used during the practical session of this course is 140kg.

Street Works
Under current UK regulations, any person required to carry out any work on the Highway, footways or their curtilage must be trained and assessed as competent and hold a Vocational Qualification in the work they will undertake.
The minimum level of qualification is the SQA New Roads & Street Works certificate, to either supervisor or operative level. Obtaining it will involve an element of formal training followed by practical exercises and on-site assessment.
