Who Should Attend?

Anyone expected to work in a Medium Risk Confined Space. This includes spaces where there is a reasonably foreseeable risk of encountering a specified risk like the presence of toxic or flammable gases, oxygen deficiency and engulfment.

A space becomes Medium Risk if a person will be required to move away from the entry point and be detached from a safety line. Examples may include inspection chambers, access shafts, tunnels, tanks, underground chambers or deep trenches.

Prerequisite

Candidates must be 18 years old and above to attend this course and be able to read and write to a reasonable standard.

Please be aware that the safe working load (SWL) of equipment used during the practical session of this course is 140kg.
